Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 September 2026
Welcome to MonsterMorris. These terms explain the rules for using our wishlist platform. By creating an account, you agree to them. Please read them carefully - they include important information about what MonsterMorris does and does not do.
1. Who we are
MonsterMorris is a wishlist platform for kids aged 14 and under. We provide tools that let a parent or guardian create a wishlist on behalf of their child, invite a chosen group of people to see it, and collect contributions toward a gift.
We are a platform, not a shop. We do not sell toys, ship gifts, or act as a party to any transaction between you and the people you invite. Any toy or gift discussed on MonsterMorris is bought and delivered by you, the parent or guardian, from a third-party retailer of your choosing.
2. Who can use MonsterMorris
You may create an account only if you are 18 years or older and are the parent or legal guardian of the child the wishlist is for. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that you have the authority to act on behalf of the child.
Invitees who contribute to a wishlist do not need an account. They access a private link you share with them and contribute as guests.
3. Your account and your responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please tell us promptly at info@monstermorris.com if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when creating your account.
- Only invite people you know and trust to view your child's wishlist.
- Not use MonsterMorris for anything unlawful, misleading, or harmful.
- Not upload explicit, offensive, or inappropriate content.
4. What MonsterMorris provides
We provide the wishlist tools, the private sharing link, and the mechanism for collecting contributions. We aim to maintain the availability, security, and reliability of the platform, but we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of errors.
5. Platform fee
The platform fee, and its associated VAT, if any, are automatically added to the amount to be raised. There are no upfront fees. The platform fee is applied only when a contribution is made. The current country-specific fee is 9.5% of the total amount raised plus a flat fee of approximately £3.00 (the exact amount varies by currency). VAT, if any, is charged on the platform fee, not the gift amount itself.
Once a payout has been initiated to your chosen payout method, the platform fee is non-refundable.
6. Contributions and payouts
Contributions are made voluntarily by the people you invite. We do not guarantee that any invitee will contribute, that a wishlist will reach its goal, or that a particular toy will be purchased.
Collected contributions, minus the platform fee, are sent to the payout method you have chosen once the wishlist's contribution period ends. You are responsible for providing accurate payout details. We are not responsible for funds sent to an incorrect payout method that you have supplied.
If a wishlist expires without reaching its goal, we will still pay out whatever contributions were collected, minus the platform fee.
7. Refunds
Contributions are generally non-refundable, because they are made as gifts.
8. Content you upload
You keep ownership of any text, images, or other content you upload. By uploading it, you give us permission to store it and display it to the people you invite, so that the wishlist can function.
9. What we are not responsible for
MonsterMorris is a platform that connects families with the people they choose to invite. We are not responsible for:
- The quality, safety, or delivery of any toy or gift purchased by you or on your behalf.
- The behaviour of any invitee, including whether they contribute or how much they contribute.
- Any dispute between you and an invitee, or between you and a retailer.
- Any loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our hosting or payment providers.
10. Limits on our liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to MonsterMorris is limited to the total platform fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
11. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account if we believe these terms have been broken, if we are required to by law, or if continuing to provide the service would put other users or MonsterMorris at risk.
12. Changes to these terms
Any changes to these terms will be reflected on this page. Continuing to use MonsterMorris after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14. Contact
